Prenominations: “We are very proud to officially launch the 46th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards with this list of extremely talented actors and actresses,” said Brent Stanton, Executive Director, Daytime Emmy Awards Administration. “We are also very excited that this year the pre-nomination round includes the very talented performers from the Digital Drama Series.”
The pre-nominated performers were selected through an online judging ballot containing all the entrants. Judges were required to view clips of the performances before selecting their top 10 choices in each of the nine performer categories. The blue-ribbon screening round will begin on Thursday, Feb. 21, which will determine the final nominees in each category as well as the final recipient of the coveted Daytime Emmy Award. The final nominations will be announced on Wednesday, March 20.

"Days of Our Lives" has replaced Co-Head Writer Dena Higley with Ron Carlivati as Head Writer effective immediately. His first episode will air on July 19, 2017. Carlivati worked at both GH & OLTL. Previous Co-Head Writer Ryan Quan & Sheri Anderson Thomas, who wrote for "Guiding Light, "Santa Barbara," and GH, will both be Creative Consultants.

DAYS's Corday Received Star on May 15, 2017 10:13 AM
Congratulations to DAYS's Executive Producer, Ken Corday, who received the 2,612th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today in the category of Television. In addition to a host of DAYS stars in attendance, fellow Walk of Famer Andy Garcia was the guest speaker. The star was placed next to the star that Deidre Hall (Marlena) received last year. You can watch the ceremony live at 2:30 p.m. TT/11:30 a.m. PT. at www.walkoffame.com

On Thursday, February 9, Joseph Mascolo last appeared as Days' Stefano, filmed before his death on December 7, 2016. In the episode, Marlena (Deidre Hall), Rafe (Galen Gering) & Leann Hunley (Anna) confront him about his transgressions against them through the years. In a special video, Mascolo's long-time castmates share their memories of the late actor.

Kassie DePaiva (ex-Eve, Days; ex-Blair, OLTL), who was diagnosed in 2016 with acute myeloid leukemia, announced on February 4, 2017, that she is now cancer free!

On Monday, January 16, "Days of Our Lives" began airing one hour earlier in the New York City area, at 12:00 Noon.

Joseph Peter Mascolo (Stefano DiMera, Days; ex-Massimo Marone, B&B; ex-Nicholas Van Buren, GH) died at 87 on December 8, 2016, in Lake Arrowhead, CA, after battling Alzheimer's disease for many years. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, at Forest Lawn in Hollywood Hills' Church of the Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90068.

After April 15, 2016, "Days of Our Lives" no longer airs same-day repeat broadcasts on Pop TV.

Casey Moss (JJ, Days) and his band "Eyes for One" have released their first full length album, "BeneathTheTruth," which contains 10 songs and can be purchased on iTunes.

Michael Easton (Silas, GH; ex-McBain, OLTL; ex-Caleb, PC; ex-Tanner, Days) has written the graphic novel "Credence: Lose This Skin." Check out the trailer here!

The Brady’s Mourn Caroline’s Death!
Roman shares the stunning news with Kayla that their beloved mother, Caroline, has died. While Sami breaks the news of Caroline’s death to Will, Kayla goes to tell Victor. Caroline is ultimately laid to rest. After, the Brady family and friends gather at the pub to remember and celebrate the woman who meant so much to them.

*Early Editions*
“Nicole” and Sami face off.
Eve offers Justin a job.
Lani reaches out to Eli.
Shawn comforts Claire.
Jack asks a favor of Will.

*Ratings for 5/20: ​1.5

Brandon Beemer returns on 6/20 as Shawn Brady, who returns to town for Caroline’s memorial.

Christie Clark returns as Carrie Brady, who also returns to town to remember Caroline.

Bryan R. Dattilo returns as Lucas Roberts, who comes back to town to be with a dying Will.

Alison Sweeney returns as Sami Brady, who has an emotional comeback to Salem.

*Hot Plots Preview - Will “Sees” Caroline*
Rex administers the antidote to Dr. Rolf’s drug after Will goes into cardiac arrest. Will starts heading toward the white light, where he encounters Caroline, who has a message for him. Caroine tells Will that he has more life to live and it isn’t his time yet. As Will’s family prepares to say their good-byes, he makes a miraculous recovery and shares his encounter with Caroline. Sami and Marlena suggest it was a dream, since Caroline is alive. However, they soon learn the family matriarch has passed on. Despite the sad news, Will has a lot of hope.

Lucas appeals to Sami, who can’t bear the bad news about Will.
Marlena presides over Will and Sonny’s wedding.
Ted feels the effects of a blow to the head.

“Nicole” summons Xander to help her get rid of Ted on 6/17, while Roman and Hope discuss her relationship with Ted.
Gabi confides in Stefan on 6/18, while Ciara tells Tripp that she thinks Claire started the fire and Eve realizes Claire needs professional help.
Rex has good news on 6/19, while Tripp and Ciara grow determined to nail Claire and Lucas and Sami overhear a discussion between Sarah and Eric.
Eve confronts Ben on 6/21, while Hope realizes that something is amiss and Sami advises Eric to forget about Nicole.

*What Will Happen*
“Nicole” takes action against Ted.
Xander admits he has feelings for Sarah.
Hope and Kate argue about Ted.
Melinda makes arrangements to go to China with Haley.

SOD 6/17/19

Ben Is Arrested!
Ben follows Claire to Smith Island and discovers that the Horton cabin is on fire. Ben finds the lighter outside. Unfortunately for Ben, Eli shows up and spots Ben with the lighter. Ben is arrested. Ben faces off with Eve when he gets to the police station. Eve grills Ben, who says he is certain Claire is the culprit. Eve isn’t pleased about his accusation. Eve then warns Ben that he’s going to go down for killing Paige. Ciara shows up at the police station with Claire. Claire consults with Eve, who assures her that she can make the charges against Ben stick. Ben and Ciara, meanwhile, vow to set him free.

Kate and Gabi discuss Nicole’s suspicious behavior.
Hope has a heart to heart with Roman.
Lucas and Sami arrive to see Will.
Ciara shares a shocking truth with Tripp.
A surprise death rocks the Bradys.

After Lani and Eli call it quits, Lani shocks Rafe with a kiss. A stunned Rafe quickly realizes what’s happening and urges Lani to move on. Lani then has to say a painful goodbye to David.

“Nicole” toasts to Stefano’s portrait.
Xander and Kristen get reflective.
Chloe shows off her knife skills to Rex.
It’s Eli to the rescue when Haley and Tripp suffer smoke inhalation.

Will and Sonny vow to make the most of the moments they have left on 6/11, while Eli takes Haley into custody and Jennifer confronts Eve.
Xander has some advice for Kristen on 6/12, while Stefan offers Abe a job and Maggie reveals to Victor that she fell off the wagon.
Hope rejects Ted’s gift on 6/13, while Marlena and Kate comfort each other about Will and “Nicole” persuades Stefan to give her a job at DiMera - reviving Basic Black.
Hope and Kate argue about Ted on 6/14, while Xander turns over the diary and Haley and JJ share a bittersweet goodbye.

Will surprises Sonny.
Eve makes Ted an offer.
Haley is hospitalized.
Kate comforts Victor.

SOD 6/10/19

Head writer Ron Carlivati talks about how much it's been to write the Nicole/Kristen story.

Ben figures out that Claire is the one who started the fire. First, Claire confides in Marlena about some of the things she's done because she's scared. She almost talks about the fire when Marlena brings up Ciara. Tripp calls, so she changes her mind. Claire overhears Ciara and Ben talking about their suspicions that she started the fire. She phones Eve and leaves a message that she needs help. Ben overhears Claire's phone going on when Eve returns her call and realizes that it's the one he heard at the cabin the night of the fire. He's shocked. Eve assures Claire that she'll help her frame Ben. She says she'll get the lighter so she can do that. She runs into Ben and Ciara, so she chews them out. Ciar sticks up for Ben, to no avail.

Next week: Victor hears Maggie's confession. Eve is confronted by Jenn. Lani is set straight by Rafe. Ben gets sent to jail.

Arianne Zucker (Nicole) is interviewed in a "Quick Take."

Ratings, week of 5/6: 1.5

Nicole/Kristen accuses Eric of attacking her in order to win favor with Brady. Eric just wanted her to listen to him, and he gets emotional, so he grabs her elbow. She throws herself against the table and lands on the floor awkwardly, making it look like he did more. Brady enters, so she makes it look worse. She accuses Eric. Eric denies that he attacked her. Brady orders him out, and he comforts Nicole. She cozies up to him, but he refuses to rekindle their relationship or hurt Eric again. She gets frustrated.

6/3 Stefan yells at Gabie, while Jack gets an earful from Julie. 6/4 Marlena hears the sad news from Will. Tripp lies that he's visiting Steve. Marlena chats with Claire about how she's doing. 6/5 Lani makes a pass at Rafe after Eli breaks up with her. It occurs to Marlena that she needs to phone Sami. Eve gets a visit from Sonny.

Greg Vaughan (Eric) and Arianne Zucker (Nicole) are chosen as Performers of the Week.)

Mary Beth Evans (Kayla), James Reynolds (Abe) and Eric Martsolf (Brady) answer fun questions about weddings.

An interesting article discusses how weddings are now handled on soaps, compared with the past. Head writer Carlivati is quotes.

What Will Happen: Jennifer hears from Jack that he might be remembering some things. Sonny and Will get bad news from Kayla. Brady doubts what Maggie tells him about seeing Kristen.

SOD 6/3/19

Stacy Haiduk (Kristen) talks about returning to the show.

Nicole is really Kristen, wearing a mask. Kristen is once again fixated on getting Brady back.

Eve is approached by Claire for help. JJ hears from Jack. Will and Sonny talk about how Will might die. Gabi faces anger from Stefan.

There is a Quick Take with Suzanne Rogers (Maggie).

Rory (Kevin Riggin) returns when Eli gets in his face about helping Haley and JJ.

Ben suspects that Claire started the fire; Ciara argues with him, defending Claire. Ben asks Marlena to hypnotize him again, and he remembers hearing Claire's ringtone that night.

5/28 Hope and Ted have a date. While looking at Tom and Alice's plaque, Will has a problem with his memory. In Brady's room, Sonny finds Maggie with a bottle.
5/29 Claire tries to make up with Tripp. Rory is cornered by Eli.
5/30 Eve is confronted by John about Rolf's diary. Jenn hits Jack on the head.
5/31 Jennifer finds out from Jack that he might be remembering something. Will hears some bad news from Kayla.

Summer Preview: Rex and Sarah figure out a fun way to celebrate for the Brady/Horton barbecue.
Sarah and Xander still have a connection.
Can Hope trust Ted, who's done some awful things, or will she smell a rat?
Jack is torn between Eve and Jennifer. He's starting to see how Eve is manipulating him. Jenn offers him a way to be his old self.
Kristen, who's in disguise as Nicole, hopes that one day she can tell Brady who she really is. But where is the real Nicole?
Gabi wants to get rid of Chloe so she can proceed with her plan to get Stefan to marry her, so she can steal everything and dump him. Will she fall for him, despite herself? And will he figure out what she's up to?
Returns include Carrie, who has a big secret. She tells someone and that may have a big impact one one of the current stories.
Caroline's death impact also impacts a current story and causes several family members to return.
Lucas and Sami return so that Will can tell them that he might die.
JJ and Haley are the big love story, with interference from Tripp, Claire, Ben and Ciara.

Lucas Adams (tripp) and Sal Stowers (Lani) offer tips for shaping up for the summer.

What Will Happen: Victor and Kate chat about their relationship, now and then. Stefan is read the riot act by Chloe. "Nicole" is cautioned by Xander not to move too fast with Brady.

Olivia Rose Keegan (Claire) is featured in a short, one-page interview.
