Comments & Opinions by
It's been another month of heartbreak, relationship
problems, illness and kidnapping on Days. While these are
realistic storylines, my belief is that viewers certainly
get enough of that in the real world and on other TV shows.
Days does have one couple that has it all and kept it
together for many years, and that is John and Marlena (also
the older couples Victor and Maggie, and Doug and Julie,
whom we hardly ever see). That makes the show pretty low in
lasting relationships, to have so few couples actually make
it through the years. I loved Chad and Abigail, but once
they were finally happy, they left. We barely had any time
to enjoy them being happy together.
Also, where are
the children? We never see them. What about Arianna? We
don't see any storyline for her. We know she exists, like
Parker, but we don't see them. Now it's rumored that little
Holly might be killed off Why bring her on the show, just
to kill her off? In real life, children have lives, and
that should be depicted on the show. Days writers have
certainly changed their perspective of what is important for
story over the years. There used to be more focus on family
relationships and love. Not any more. Not by a long shot. As
John would say, "That's a fact."
The opinions in these articles are those of the writers and do not
necessarily reflect the opinions of The TV MegaSite or its other volunteers.
